The 2nd TPM of the SmartEd project took place on June 28–29, 2025, in the beautiful city of Karditsa, hosted by Educom+. Over two productive days, partners gathered at the historic Domotel Arni Hotel to assess our progress and collaboratively plan the next steps of the project.

✔️ Project Highlights & Milestones
– Reviewed dissemination efforts and project monitoring status.
-Presented and discussed the 1st interim report, celebrating milestones achieved so far.
– Analysed the results of WP2 and strategised for participation in the ICODL 2025 International Conference.
– Defined the roadmap for WP3 and IO2, clarified partner responsibilities and discussed upcoming piloting activities and the next LTTA in Lithuania.
– Ended the meeting with a fruitful evaluation session and certificate ceremony.

🎯 The meeting reflected the excellent collaboration among partners and the smooth implementation of project tasks.

🌍 Cultural Enrichment
Beyond the meetings, participants enjoyed a trip to the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage site of Meteora, with its majestic monasteries perched atop towering rocks. The cultural journey continued with a scenic visit to Lake Plastiras, one of Greece’s hidden gems, offering moments of reflection and connection amidst natural beauty.

About the Author: Georgia Karagianni

Georgia is an English teacher with further training in educational psychology, inclusive education, counselling and teaching Greek as a foreign language. She has participated in many European projects (Erasmus+ KA2 & KA3) producing intellectual outputs on intercultural education, inclusive practices, creativity, pedagogical exploitation of digital tools, environmental education, and more. She has served for five years as Head of the Department of Educational Affairs in the Directorate of Secondary Education of Karditsa Prefecture. She holds an MA in “New Forms of Education and Learning”, an MA in “Language Education for Migrants and Refugees”, and a PhD in Open and Distance Learning from the Hellenic Open University, with her research focusing on digital metacognition and learning autonomy. She is a teacher trainer in Erasmus+ KA1 mobility courses and a trainer and syllabus creator at the Center of Lifelong Learning of the Hellenic Open University. She is currently serving as an EFL Education Consultant for Primary and Secondary Education at the Directorates of Education of Trikala and Karditsa, Greece.
