Beautiful Izmir hosted the kick-off meeting of the project: “Teachers’ Action for Health-TA4H”, code 2022-1-TROI-KA220-SCH-000089892, which is coordinated by Cigli Ilce Milli Egitim Mudurlugu (TÜRKİYE).
The project’s main aims are:
– to support teachers and educators to increase the knowledge, awareness, and experience of students who may need first aid intervention or emergency response in chronic diseases, by using digital education materials and to ensure the continuity of this knowledge and skills.
-ensure the sustainability of teacher development with digital educational materials, with a particular focus on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of preschool and primary school teachers on first aid interventions.
Educom+ is glad to be a member of this partnership which is comprised by trustworthy and experienced educational institutions from Latvia, Romania, Lithuania and Bulgaria.
Partners spent an intensive two-day meeting where the action plan was adequately discussed along with clarifications on the project’s outcomes. In the launching event that took place in “Anemon Hotel”, the project was officially presented to the educational community of Izmir who expressed their interest and willingness to implement the project’s outcomes.
We thank our Turkish friends for the great hosting and for creating such strong bonds among the partners, ensuring a sound cooperation!

About the Author: Georgia Karagianni

Georgia is an english teacher with further training in educational psychology, inclusive education, counseling and teaching greek as a foreign language. She has participated in many European projects (erasmus+ ka2 & ka3) producing intellectual outputs on intercultural education, inclusive practices, creativity, pedagogical exploitation of digital tools, environmental education etc. She is also local coordinator of the Panhellenic net of theatre in education and for the last three years she has been serving as the Head of the department of Educational Affairs in the Directorate of Secondary Education of Karditsa prefecture. She holds an MA in ‘’New forms of education and learning’’ and an MA in ‘’Language Education in Migrants and Refugees’’ and currently she is a PhD candidate in the field of Open and Distance Learning (Hellenic Open University).
