Last week, in the English class of section A4 at the 4th Experimental High School of Trikala, an innovative lesson took place, inspired by a unit from the school textbook dedicated to the life and work of Vincent van Gogh. 🎨✨
Students embarked on a digital journey to the Van Gogh Online Museum, explored his masterpieces, and selected the painting that inspired them the most. Then, with the help of artificial intelligence (AI) and the “Image Explainer” tool, they extracted information about their chosen artwork and attached it to their assignments.
🔹 The next step? Creating a digital book using StoryJumper! Students collaborated in real time, enriching their book pages with vibrant colors, Van Gogh’s works, and relevant English texts. The result was an impressive multimedia project where art, language, and technology merged creatively.
📌 Lesson Objectives
✅ Connecting art with English language learning
✅ Integrating AI tools into the educational process
✅ Developing critical thinking through selection and analysis of information
✅ Cultivating collaboration skills through teamwork in an interactive environment
📖🖌️ Education can become a creative space where art, language, and technology dynamically intertwine!

🎉 Special Thanks 🎉
A big thank you to the school’s English teacher and deputy principal, Ms. Louisa Pouliana, for her outstanding collaboration and invaluable contribution to the lesson’s success! 🙏 Also, the lesson was attended and actively participated in by English teacher Ms. Zoi Tsiaka, the teachers of German and French, and one of the school’s philologists, Ms. Stergiani Zisi.
🌍 Additionally, six teachers from L’Istituto di Istruzione Superiore V. Cardarelli in Italy were present, visiting our school as part of an Erasmus+ program for job shadowing.
📢 After the lesson, a reflective discussion followed, allowing all participants to exchange valuable insights. The different educational approaches and new ideas that emerged further enriched the dialogue on the use of technology and art in learning!
👏 Congratulations to all students for their imagination, creativity, and collaboration!
Additionally, the scientific association Educom+ was hosting a training course on the application of artificial intelligence in education, which the Italian educators were attending. This training included a job shadowing experience that gave them the chance to see cutting-edge AI-driven teaching methods in action.
